Tendon injury is a common complaint affecting elite and recreational sports people alike. The science in tendon management is expanding rapidly and as therapists we are in a great position to manage these complaints effectively using the current evidence. This two day course will introduce the delegate to the current evidence in tendon science in health and disease. It will initially cover basic aspects of tendon structure and biomechanical properties to help understand the role of the lower limb tendons. The definitive nature of pathology is still debated and some common models will be presented and discussed.
