What is IndieEd?

IndieEd is a collective of independent physiotherapists and educators who are committed to providing unique quality education to health professionals and the community at large. The groundwork for IndieEd began in 2009 and has evolved to formal establishment August 2014.

IndieEd is more than a name and a list of courses. It is the collaborative effort of professionals dedicated to providing the highest quality of education with the best available evidence, clarity around clinical experience where evidence is not available, and consistent effort to foster critical thinking in the participants. The instructors have created and own the intellectual material presented in these courses, not an organization or education company. Choosing to further your education by attending IndieEd offerings means you’re choosing to push the boundaries of what is expected and what is assumed, and to be a part of the conversation that is the future of our profession.
