Angela Colville, LCSW

Angela Colville graduated from San Diego State University in 2003 with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, and since that time has gone on to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Angela has worked with individuals and families dealing with acute and chronic conditions, including pain management. Angela has had her own personal journey with pelvic floor health and is very aware of the many emotions, such as depression and anxiety, which accompany chronic and pelvic floor pain and related conditions. Her compassionate therapeutic approach includes assisting clients by discussing issues around individual chronic pain and pelvic health issues to help with stress management. Angela also provides education and communicates coping mechanisms and techniques. Angela works with her clients to improve mood and quality of life. Angela continues to obtain current education to best serve her clients. Angela’s goal is to decrease emotional distress to assist in decreasing the intensity and impact of pain and other disorders to improve quality of life.

Angela works from a strengths-based perspective, utilizing cognitive and biopsychosocial approaches, also incorporating mindfulness, relaxation, distraction and other techniques. She helps to decrease the experience of pain and difficulty of chronic conditions and illnesses and empower individuals to learn new skills and make positive changes.
