Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the position, function and relevance of the neuroanatomy of the pelvis and pelvic region, including spinal anatomy.
  • Demonstrate active and passive neurodynamic exercises for each of the nerves presented in the course.
  • Perform non-provocative (not pain producing) manual therapy techniques for the pelvic region with internal and external approaches.
  • Explain the biological plausibility for the choice of techniques and exercises underpinning a neurodynamic treatment program ranging from acute to chronic conditions.

Participants will learn gentle Myofascial Techniques, Dermoneuromodulation, and both passive and active Applied Neurodynamics for the abdomen, pelvis and upper leg. Labs will progress from acute to persistent pain treatment options and include education in self-treatment techniques for improved patient outcomes. Participants will be able to screen and design a progressive treatment for all of the major pelvic nerves.
